Both the Francis Marion University women's volleyball and women's soccer teams will play host to local-Peach Belt Conference rival UNC Pembroke this week.
The two schools will square off on the volleyball court on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Smith University Center. Admission is free.
FMU and UNCP will then meet in women's soccer action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. on Hartzler Field in the Griffin Athletic Complex. General admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students with Francis Marion students being admitted free with identification.
The soccer match will be streamed live online courtesy of the Patriot Sports Network.
The Patriot volleyball team is 5-9 overall and 1-3 in the Peach Belt, while UNCP is 3-13 and 0-4. Francis Marion leads the all-time series 49-33, including a sweep of last season's two meetings.
Tuesday's volleyball match will also be the 1500th in the 44-year history of the Francis Marion program. FMU has an all-time record of 825-674 for a winning percentage of .550. FMU defeated then Pembroke State University 15-2, 15-7 in the program's first-ever match in the fall of 1973.
The FMU women's soccer team is 3-4-0 overall and 0-3-0 in the PBC, while the Braves are 5-3-0 and 3-1-0.
Francis Marion leads the all-time women's soccer series with UNCP 6-1-0 and in the process has outscored the Braves 18-8.
